Using the concept of yin and yang, these two pieces rely on one another, incomplete without the other. Despite their differences, they are interconnected, bringing what the other does not have and vice versa. For the shape, I wanted it to give the impression of the waves of water, gently bending to one another, almost as a symbol of respect and tenderness. The negative space in the middle became this heart shape which adds to the sense of harmony and unity.
