About Tatiana

Tatiana Ruiz is an undergraduate Visual Arts Education major studying at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. During her studies at USF, she has examined the concepts and practices focused upon student centered learning. This has been achieved via an educational environment embedded with critical thinking and application in traditional education and fine arts curriculum. Tatiana understands the importance of creating a positive environment for all students and colleagues. At USF, Tatiana has taken classes in art history, ceramics, digital arts, drawing, painting, photography and typography. In addition to traditional studies, Tatiana furthers her education experience via her participation in the Duns Scotus Honors Program. The Duns Scotus Honors Program, named after the great Franciscan scholar John Duns Scotus, strives to create a community of scholars and intentional learners who desire to integrate knowledge with reflection, commitment, and service to develop wisdom with humility. Finally, Tatiana enjoys creating artworks that reflect the small things in life and make them everlasting.
